Pharmacist Candidates Should Understand Business

 


  Pharmaceutical science is not all about the discovery of new drugs. Prospective pharmacists also have to master a variety of science and technology development, including business opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. 

Therefore Faculty of Padjadjaran (Padjadjaran University) London held the International Seminar on Pharmaceutical Science and Technology in (ISPST) 2014 In the course of two days it is expected that the student can combine the knowledge of the world of drugs with the ability to do business. 

"To be able to develop the quality of drugs, pharmacists are expected to understand how science and technology discoveries translated into business opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry," said Chairman of the Committee activities Jutti Levita, as quoted from the site, Padjadjaran University, Friday (19/09/2014). 

Jutti explained, ISPST also held to obtain a variety of new findings in the field of pharmacy and a number of related areas, such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. The seminar, said Jutti, also dedicated to promoting a more specific field, such as the analysis of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food, forensic and biomedical analysis, and pharmaceutical technology. 

Vice Chairman of the Committee Muchtaridi added, the activity presents 17 speakers from nine countries and attended by hundreds of participants who participated in oral and poster presentation. The participants were from different countries most of whom are postgraduate students. 

"The output of this activity is that attendees and speakers got sharing updates on the latest knowledge of pharmaceutical technology. And participants who give presentations, both oral and poster, may be published in the international journal, "said Muchtaridi. 

The committee, he added, has teamed up with the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (IJPSR) to publish the 10 best articles on the journal. In addition, other articles will also be published in the Journal of Pharmeceutical Indonesian Science and Technology.
